Teaching Upside Down with Video and Clickers

In an upside down class, the students get lectures outside of class and are able to participate in active learning in class. Using
Camtasia, you can prerecord a lecture and have students view it outside of class time. In class, you can use carefully designed
questions and clickers to pinpoint the areas of maximum confusion. Class time can then be spent reviewing topics that the
students really need help on. This will allow the use of active learning strategies without the fear of omitting some material
needed for the course.
